These were the original colours of the background. I like these a lot too, but several people told me that the aqua-turqoise look of the new version was really cool as well. Oh, the easiness of digital artwork colouring :) A few clicks and your painting is completely different! Try doing that with gouache :|
Oh yeahhhhh that aqua background looks FANTASTIC, who suggested such an awesome idea? Seriously though, like I said before this is really amazing! Your dedication is awe worthy!
ReplyDeleteLooking good Pierre. Nice choice of colors!
ReplyDeleteAMAZINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
ReplyDeleteyour dad.
The background is really nice! My only suggestion is that the flamingo should walk much faster. I know you are going for the showing-off strut, but it also feels like moonwalking. Otherwise nice piece.
ReplyDeleteHOW YOU MAKE WATER MOVE? HOW U DO DIS?
ReplyDeleteSorry for replying so late everyone! Thank you for liking it :)
ReplyDeleteKat, I agree with what you said. Something about the speed seems a little odd. I was trying to judge the speed based on the foot placement (foot stays in the same spot while it touches the ground), but the speed is still strange. Thanks for the tip!
Leslie, the trick to moving water? Uhm, lots of layers and experimenting with effects ;) example: the water sparkly things, the wavy water lines and the reflections of the rocks are all seperate layers. After playing around with the effects (mainly the wave warp) i got something like this. The more layers you do, the more freedom you have to play around with different elements on those layers :)
