...was a success! My best life drawing portfolio to date. The teacher's happy: I'm happy :)
So, finally I have the feeling my life drawings have a sense of form to them. However, I still have lots of trouble trying to get it in my drawings, so hopefully this will be the start of many. Time will tell! I'm gonna miss first year. It's... over :( No more first year. Gone... I'll miss all of my teachers, but I'm excited for second year's as well.
Thurman, if ever you read this: Thank you! You're an incredible life drawing teacher!

Adventurous Sack of Flour
Here's an adventurous sack of flour. He discovers... a wardrobe!
Who would've guessed?! Haha, anyway, this took me a while, but I'm happy to call it complete, even though it's very, very rough. I'm excited to do little animation practices over the summer :)
Oh right, summer. It's here! I'm done first year...?! That was way too soon! Oh well, it was tons of fun! Here's my final animation assignment of first year. Expect my last life drawing portfolio up soon, as well as a new blog appearance :)

Layout Folio
Soooo, here's my layout portfolio pieces for semester 2! Mainly original content, but I decdided to put two painting project studies in to fill it up a bit more. I'm happy to say that I like these much better than last semester's, although there are still plenty of things I'm not totally satisfied with. Oh well. Gotta keep learning :)

Flying Dragons
So this was our final painting assignment of first year. Time flies by way too fast. Oh well; I really put a lot of hours into this one, and I'm pleased with how it turned out. I can already see some minor things I wish I changed, but oh well. It pretty much turned out like I imagined it: yay!
As with all my painting posts, here is the process work from beginning to end :)

Turning the Canvas...
... but only slightly. The diagonal pan. Man, I spent way too much valuable time on this thing. While I'm happy with the outcome, I'm not so pleased with the sleep I missed because of it. Oh well, two more weeks till catch-up time :) Okay, gotta go again: lots of other things to do still. Here be a diagonal pan:

Roboticus Awesominus
You guys all love little robots, right? I don't know, but hopefully this one suits your taste. A quick animation we were assigned in digi-tools. The background is... inspirational, to say the least.
Animating this way is rather annoying, because you know get much control over what you wish to achieve. Oh well. It's neat to see it come together :) Oh, and it's in HD!

A Terrifying Dinosaur
Really, really terrifying he surely is... not. Hope you like Ralphie, because I'm pretty happy with how he turned out :) Clean-up with a col-erase pencil: works pretty awesome! This is one of those blog-posts for which I don't know what to write. So I'm gonna end it here.
No, here.
No, here.
